Hello! Here are some portraits I have done through out the years. These are also arranged according to date. The people I have drawn are mostly people who have influenced me...Under each portrait is the actual image... ![]() This is supposed to be David Tennant as Doctor Who. I drew this a long time ago in the early eighth garde -which explains why the sketch is so smudged-. I was obsessed with Doctor Who back then and watched it everyday with my brother. ![]() I drew this a week after I had drawn David. It is Lana Del Rey if you have not guessed yet. I still listen to her music even after two years. ![]() This is also Lana Del Rey, but here, she is in her music video for the song "Young and Beautiful". This portrait was also done in the eighth grade. For some reason, she looks angry in the portrait.... ![]() This is my first and only self portrait so far. It portrays an eighth grade Jad sitting at a restaurant table in Aqaba. Unfortunately, the picture is not stored on my computer, so I won't be uploading it. ![]() This portrait of Lady Gaga in her Poker Face music video was sketched in the summer between the eighth and ninth grades. As you see, there is some development, though it is not prominent, yet. ![]() This one I did in the winter break of the ninth grade. My portrait skills were rusty then, and so I did not really perfect Haley Williams's grin. The following portraits have also been drawn in the winter break. ![]() Haley Williams of Paramore again! This portrait is definitely one of my favourites. My improvement as I shifted from eighth to ninth grade is painfully obvious here. The picture is from the music video for "Playing God". ![]() Yet another portrait of Haley Williams, sorry if you are bored of the same face, I was a crazed Paramore fan back then. I am content with this one as I did the lips right. ![]() "You're gonna hear me ROOOAAR!" If you still do not know who this is, then you are definitely not Wide Awake. This is Katy Perry! Yes, I know, it does not really look like Katy, but I am rather satisfied with it anyway. ![]() I sketched this one a couple of weeks ago. It is more of a doodle than an actual portrait, but I really liked it, so I am posting it with the celebrities. I did not copy it off a picture as I did for my other portraits, this derives from my imagination.

Hiya! Usually, I doodle a lot -especially at school-, and if I were to post all my doodles here, the post would never end! Here are some doodles I did in school, but these are only the ones of faces....-I sorted them according to date, although I do not actually no the exact dates, I know their order-: The Long-nosed Lady![]() I drew this on my maths notebook while waiting for a friend...... The puffy lips and long nose are my biggest mistakes. Before The Morning Jog![]() I drew this on my maths notebook as well, as the dictionary was being read to me by a friend... Crooked nose perhaps? Girl On Fire![]() Doodled on the back of a DT -Design Technology- worksheet, the girl on fire exists defiantly with her wide challenging eyes and subversively bushy hair..... Hope![]() I sketched this one on a maths midterm revision worksheet. I was going through the worksheet solving everything easily and so I doodled this face to express my overall mood. Like the face, I was smiling at the brightness of the hope of success -the hope of a full mark in my midterm-. I did score that 30/30 in the end! Bald and Proud![]() This doodle was sketched on the back of the same maths revision sheet as the previous doodle. I doodled this while lounging in Starbucks with my uncle and parents. If you are wondering about the mysterious nose floating above his head, I had drawn it to show my uncle how to draw a nose. I drew the nose before I did the full head. And he says: "I'm bald, so what?" with a raised eyebrow.... Giggling....![]() This was drawn on my Biology notebook. I do not really know what this is...... It started out as a skull, but something went wrong.....oops... I guess the figure is laughing at my mistake as well...hehehe... Repent![]() I drew this on my Biology notebook as well. I was sitting down listening to The Pretty Reckless, maybe this is their influence.... Or perhaps I just wanted to try something new. Repent.....this poor soul repents his deed, for it has led to his demise... ![]() Since the seventh grade, I have been a Florence and the Machine fanatic. I listened to their music everyday, memorized their songs by heart, and daydreamed constantly about them during classes. I was simply OBSESSED with their music, style and practically everything about them. When listening to their music, I felt like I was being taken away into another world far better than ours, albeit a lot of their songs have dark meanings, which is actually what made me feel so at home. With the flame headed songstress's ethereal voice crooning words of wisdom and truth, and the melodious and portentous harp strings in the background I was dizzied with awe and admiration. Florence and the Machine are an indie/alternative music band with Florence Welch as the lead singer. Their debut album is called "Lungs", which was followed by "Ceremonials". They also produced songs in several film soundtracks including Snow White and The Huntsman, as well as The Great Gatsby. To know more, you can visit their site here: ![]() On to the art; in the seventh grade, at the solstice of my obsession, my former art teacher signed me up for an art competition about Spring. I seized the opportunity and did this portrait -pencil colours on cardboard- honouring both Florence, and Spring. ![]() Here is a close-up on the face. I was rather proud of myself after I had completed it, and I believe that I was entitled to, look at it! I know I didn't do great on some of the flowers and butterflies, but I did all that my seventh grade self could do........well maybe not. ![]() The drawing was inspired by the album art for "Lungs". I was mostly inspired by her pose, as it is clear that I imitated it in the drawing. Thank You!
![]() Hello! This shall be my first Art Post, and it is an adaptation I had done of an impressionist painting by the artist Leonid Afremov. This was my art midterm last semester and I scored a 20/20. The picture is not clear -most unfortunately- so you will not be able to view the painting in its full glory. ![]() Here is the original painting by Leonid Afremov, and lets face the candour, it is much better than mine. However, you have to take into consideration the fact that I was a fourteen year old beginner -when I did this- while he was a -frankly- rather old professional artist. |
